Manuel Tavares made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Alexandre Sá sent off a good shot on target. After 5 played minutes Muxos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Reis. Filipe Garcia, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Muxos FC's Cristóvão Mendes got a free kick in the 9th minute. Manuel Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Muxos FC's Cristiano Reis got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, David Araújo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Tavares. Muxos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Louredinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. David Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Louredinho got a freekick which was hit by José Cardoso. In the 36th match minute, Muxos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Barros to maneuver through the defense. Louredinho's David Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Alexandre Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Barros was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Araújo in the 57th minute of the match. Cristóvão Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Louredinho booed when Muxos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Araújo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Manuel Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Louredinho. Muxos FC's Pedro Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Antunes having to interfere. Louredinho's Rafael Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Louredinho from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Sá's late challenge caught a Muxos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Sá helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandre Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Antunes having to make a save. Alexandre Sá struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Manuel Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Louredinho. After having played for 76 minutes, David Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Louredinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If David Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alexandre Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, Louredinho's David Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alexandre Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Louredinho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Muxos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
