SC Zezere's Lucas Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Anjos in the 6th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Faria in the 37th minute of play forced SC Sezures's goalkeeper Miguel Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, one of SC Zezere:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raul Anjos made a kick off. Amadeu Henriques hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Nuno Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
