The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Belem FC's Diamantino Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raul Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Lima in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raul Mendes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jaime Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vasco Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Burguete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Belem FC's Bento Borba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raul Mendes. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Diamantino Lima struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Raul Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belem FC. In the 18th minute, Diamantino Lima fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 19 minutes, Jaime Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burguete FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute Bento Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Bento Borba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Raul Mendes, 2-0. Diamantino Lima made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 31stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Raul Mendes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Diamantino Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Bento Borba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Raul Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Bento Borba made the kick off in the second half. Diamantino Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Mendes having to interfere. The supporters of Belem FC booed when Burguete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 61st minute, Diamantino Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Vasco Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Borba in the 68th minute of the match. Jaime Leal's late challenge caught a Belem FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Burguete FC's Jaime Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Jaime Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Fontes got free with Vasco Pinho in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Burguete FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sandro Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burguete FC's goalkeeper Raul Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belem FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Burguete FC for a fine match.
