Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fafiao FC's Ricardo Neto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristiano Moutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 played minutes SC Gondileu got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Marques. Filipe Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Aleixo lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Gondileu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fafiao FC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jacinto Borges, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Gondileu's Cristiano Moutinho. 0-1. SC Gondileu's Vítor Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Borba in the 17th minute of play. Vítor Valente had several of the Fafiao FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Joaquim Miranda as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cristiano Moutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Bernardo Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Ricardo Neto sped through SC Gondileu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristiano Moutinho. Cristiano Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Neto in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, SC Gondileu's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Pedroso came free, but Cristiano Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Cristiano Moutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fafiao FC. When Ricardo Neto came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Fafiao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Neto couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Pedroso in the 42nd minute of play. If Vítor Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Valente to make the kick off. When Ricardo Neto came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Fafiao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Neto couldn't finish the play. Filipe Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Moutinho had great luck who in the 57thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ricardo Neto from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 59th match minute, Fafiao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. If Vítor Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Gondileu booed when Fafiao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Neto in the 71st minute of the match. Joaquim Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Valente in the 78th minute of play. Ricardo Neto struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cristiano Moutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fafiao FC. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fafiao FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Miranda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquim Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Valente in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to SC Gondileu getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Gustavo Marques hit a great ball. Adolfo Monteiro missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 92 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Cristiano Moutinho right hand side. Filipe Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Moutinho having to interfere. The Fafiao FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
