António Maia came out and tried to block the shot, but Lúcio Oliveira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. António Maia made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Rogério Queirós sent off a good shot on target. Lúcio Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 25th minute, but António Maia got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Serro hanging dry this time. Rogério Queirós's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, António Maia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Serro's António Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Oliveira in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Rogério Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Maia. Serro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogério Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ricardo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Resende having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Borges in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Resende saved Catarruchos from getting behind. Lúcio Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Catarruchos booed when Serro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rogério Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Queirós in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catarruchos! Rogério Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Ricardo Nogueira in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Augusto Resende, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
