Sandro Bessas short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got António Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Miguel Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cervaes FC's António Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Cervaes FC from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Correia in the 31st minute of the match. SC Barro's Alfredo Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Miranda in the 34th minute of play. When Fernando Correia came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Cervaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Correia couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Alfredo Brás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Gaspar Lisboa scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Brás, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Pacheco was the one to do the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Fernando Correia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredo Brás, 1-2. Alfredo Brás made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Lisboa in the 83rd minute. Miguel Pacheco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Vale having to make a save. Fernando Correia's late challenge caught a SC Barro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Correia helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Correia hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tiago Gueifão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for António Vale. Cervaes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cervaes FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
