Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Duarte Baptista started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute of the match Lúcio Correia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. David Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Esteves having to interfere. David Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Areosa booed when Francelos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Miguel Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Vale hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Carlos Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Nunes succeeded in the game's 27th minute to get real power on a long shot . Areosa's Sebastião Esteves hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! Areosa's Sebastião Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Baptista in the 32nd minute of play. David Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miguel Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Emanuel Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Pacheco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Miguel Coelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Coelho to make the kick off. Miguel Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Manuel Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Coelhos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Manuel Leite to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Francelos FC's Duarte Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Francelos FC got a freekick which was hit by David Melo. 83 minutes into the match, Areosa's Miguel Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sebastião Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Francelos FC's Emanuel Gueifão got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Miguel Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Leite having to interfere.
