Joaquim Sousa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Menjoelho FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. André Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fernando Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. André Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Rodrigues. Menjoelho FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute, André Setúbal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Foz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Menjoelho FC defense, André Setúbal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Rodrigues. The Menjoelho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Joaquim Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Azevedo's late challenge caught a SC Foz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Filipe Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Joaquim Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half SC Foz were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Álvaro Sousa made the kick off in the second half. André Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Alexandre Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Rodrigues was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. André Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Joaquim Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Menjoelho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Sousa couldn't finish the play. After 99 minutes of play, Menjoelho FC's Jorge Reis made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Delgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Foz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
