In the 14th minute of the game, Gustavo Campos landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 14 minutes into the game, Lourenço Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caldas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Batocas the free kick. Lourenço Alves hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Luís Viana notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Batocas's Diamantino Pinho. Diamantino Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Correia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Maia got free with Francisco Correia in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lourenço Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Francisco Correia made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Gustavo Maia sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Gustavo Maia made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Gustavo Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caldas FC's Francisco Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jorge Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Mário Moura came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SC Batocas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Moura couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Correia having to interfere. SC Batocas's Mário Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Diamantino Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Batocas's zone, Jorge Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Pinho came out of the goal and Jorge Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Viana got free with Diamantino Pinho in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, SC Batocas's Diamantino Pinho got control of the ball when Luís Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Batocas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
