In the 31stth minute of the game Tomás Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valpaco's Bruno Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valpaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Fernandes having to interfere. SC Sanguinho's Simão Fernandes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save SC Sanguinho from getting a goal against them. Sandro Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Simão Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valpaco. If Tomás Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sandro Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Fernandes having to interfere. After some careless play in the SC Sanguinho defense, Sandro Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Fernandes. The SC Sanguinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Fernandes should have stopped the shot. Francisco Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, SC Sanguinho's Simão Fernandes got control of the ball when Sandro Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valpaco's Daniel Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valpaco had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
