After a rather tough play, SC Pevidal's António Neves got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Manhosa's Nuno Rodrigues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristóvão Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Carneiro in the 8th minute of play forced SC Pevidal's goalkeeper Cristóvão Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes SC Pevidal got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Amorim. 24 minutes into the match, SC Pevidal's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Carneiro came free, but Cristóvão Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Assunção's late challenge caught a SC Pevidal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Assunção helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Joel Assunção hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Neves missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 32 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Pedro Abreu right hand side. If Pedro Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cristóvão Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nuno Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manhosa's Nuno Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Manhosa got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Fonseca. Pedro Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Brás in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Manhosa's Pedro Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Amorim in the 51st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Rodrigues got free with Cristóvão Coelho in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Leal hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Cristóvão Coelho came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Manhosa's Nuno Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Nuno Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nuno Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cristóvão Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Coelho having to interfere. Pedro Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Cristóvão Coelho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 71 minutes into the match, SC Pevidal's Amílcar Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Joel Assunção hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílcar Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Coelho having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Francisco Carneiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristóvão Coelho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 87 minutes into the match, SC Pevidal's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Carneiro came free, but Cristóvão Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, António Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pevidal's supporters rose to their feet, but António Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st match minute, Manhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Assunção to maneuver through the defense.
