Manhosa's Pedro Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Tavares in the 12th minute of play. Vicente Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Catarino Resende lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Mariano Coimbra hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nuno Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Cristiano Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manhosa. Fernando Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Abreu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Manhosa's Mariano Coimbra got a free kick in the 38th minute. Cristiano Dias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Carneiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. In the 47th minute Francisco Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Manhosa booed when Louzado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th play minute Fernando Tavares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Abreu. 2-2. Cristiano Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fernando Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Manhosa got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Fonseca. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manhosa had won after a very even match.
