In the 4th minute, one of Escoural FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Escoural FC. Diogo Marques made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Filipe Neves sent off a good shot on target. Filipe Nevess short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Diogo Marques to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diogo Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Neves in the 23rd minute. Diogo Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Escoural FC got a freekick which was hit by José Matos. Cláudio Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Adelino Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Ramos was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Listoso getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eusébio Araújo hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Lucas Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Marques having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Hugo Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jaime Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Amaral having to interfere.
