Outrelo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Emanuel Melo scored to the left of an out of position Cândido Ribeiro, making the score, 2-1. Jorge Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paialvo FC's Pedro Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Costa in the 22nd minute of play. Jorge Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Melo having to interfere. Jorge Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cândido Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Costa in the 30th minute of play forced Paialvo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes Paialvo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was António Dias who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in António Dias almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paialvo FC's Pedro Melo did a great save. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Cândido Ribeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Emanuel Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cândido Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Maia in the 37th minute of play. Jorge Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cândido Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Cândido Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Maia in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Maia made a kick off. Jorge Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Melo having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Jorge Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Outrelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Pedro Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Costa in the 60th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
