Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sebastião Monteiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 minutes of play, SC Cancinhola's Álvaro Simões made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Américo Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Álvaro Simões in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Américo Coelho saved Maritenda FC from getting behind. When Sebastião Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Maritenda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Monteiro couldn't finish the play. After 9 minutes, Abel Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cancinhola and the Maritenda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abel Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Pedro Borba stood somewhat misplaced when Sebastião Monteiro came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 11 minute. After a rather tough play, Maritenda FC's Jacinto Marques got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute André Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Cancinhola defense, Filipe Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Borba. The SC Cancinhola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Borba should have stopped the shot. Sebastião Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Borba having to interfere. In the 30th minute of the match, Sebastião Monteiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Borba saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Maritenda FC defense, André Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Américo Coelho. The Maritenda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Américo Coelho should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes Maritenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Nascimento. If André Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Pedro Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maritenda FC's Sebastião Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. During the 56th minute of the match Jacinto Marques completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jacinto Marques a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. André Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Filipe Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maritenda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th match minute, SC Cancinhola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Simões to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, Filipe Fontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Pedro Borba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filipe Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Borba having to interfere. João Teixeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Borba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Teixeira ran back to his position shaking his head. If Filipe Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Pedro Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Borba having to interfere. With a little luck, Maritenda FC's Américo Coelho got control of the ball when Álvaro Simões tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Maritenda FC were the better team. Maritenda FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
