Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Negreda's João Veiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bruno Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Artur Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Alexandre Mendes made a huge save. In the 9th match minute, Negreda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Faro to maneuver through the defense. Artur Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alexandre Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Mota might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artur Mota ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute, João Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Negreda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Manuel Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Negreda's Jorge Amaral got a free kick in the 28th minute. Alexandre Mendes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nuno Leal. Negreda's Alexandre Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Santos in the 32nd minute of play. Artur Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Alexandre Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Quintiao booed when Negreda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Santos made a kick off. Artur Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quintiao's Manuel Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Negreda's Gabriel Aguiar got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 66th match minute, Negreda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, Manuel Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rui Faro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Martins during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Rui Faro made a huge save. Alexandre Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes, Gabriel Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Negreda and the Quintiao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Negreda's Alexandre Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Santos in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Mota in the 92nd minute of play forced Negreda's goalkeeper Alexandre Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manuel Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Negreda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Negreda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
