Negreda's João Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute Vicente Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was beautiful to see Quinhendros FC's Carlos Araújo in action when he in the 19th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! David Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Veiga in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Negreda's João Veiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Quinhendros FC's David Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Quinhendros FC from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, Sebastião Coelho made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Mendes. Negreda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Alexandre Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Coelho in the 33rd minute of the match. Vicente Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alexandre Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, João Veiga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Cardoso. The goal made the score 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. David Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Manuel Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negreda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Coelho got free with Alexandre Mendes in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Negreda's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
