After a rather tough play, Belver's Joaquim Gueifão got a free kick in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the game, one of Belver:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Silva in the 25th minute of play forced Merelhe's goalkeeper Pedro Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Veiga having to interfere. Henrique Campos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joaquim Cruz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. José Fonseca took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Campos. Henrique Campos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Joaquim Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merelhe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Gueifão charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Merelhe booed when Belver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Merelhe's Daniel Magalhães broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Henrique Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Henrique Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Cruz in the 69th minute of the match. After 69 minutes, Alexandre Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belver and the Merelhe players grew even worse after the yellow card.
