Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Melim's Rui Fontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Barros came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Clerigos's Albertino Carvalho. But to his dismay, Albertino Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Rui Fontes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rui Maia, 1-1. Rui Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Pires's late challenge caught a Clerigos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Pires helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Xavier Leiria was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Rui Pinheiro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, SC Melim's Rui Fontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lourenço Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Machado to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Lourenço Martins put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rui Maia. Cláudio Moreira hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, SC Melim's Lourenço Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Albertino Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Barros. SC Melim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertino Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Rui Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Fontes in the 75th minute of play. Ricardo Barros stood somewhat misplaced when Albertino Carvalho came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Albertino Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute Rui Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertino Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Barros having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Clerigos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
