Hugo Ferro charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Ferro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Louriceira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferro to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Faro, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Peniche's goalkeeper Mariano Jesus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

José Faro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Raul Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Peniche's Mariano Jesus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Paulo Assunção successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Assunção showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
