Jorge Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Reis in the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Vicente Assis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Lopes was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 18th minute Vicente Assis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teixogueiras FC's Lúcio Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Teixogueiras FC from getting a goal against them. Basílio Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Teixogueiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Correia. In the 26th minute, Heitor Bessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heitor Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Teixogueiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Bessa came free, but Lúcio Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Soares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Lúcio Castro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Heitor Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Lúcio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Teixogueiras FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after António Soares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Diamantino Soares hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Diamantino Soares got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Teixogueiras FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Diamantino Soares hit a great ball. Lúcio Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Rodrigo Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heitor Bessa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Assis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jorge Lopes made a huge save. Lucas Marques hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Monsarves's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedro Guerreiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Teixogueiras FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Guerreiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorge Lopes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 62 minutes into the game, Heitor Bessa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Monsarves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teixogueiras FC the free kick. After 62 played minutes SC Monsarves got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Bessa. Jorge Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Assis went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Vicente Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Vicente Assis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Jorge Lopes made a huge save. 85 minutes into the game, Lucas Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daniel Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute, Afonso Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Assis struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Jorge Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teixogueiras FC. When Gil Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Monsarves's protests and gave Gil Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead.
