SC Monsarves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serrazes FC the free kick. A collision led to SC Monsarves getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Afonso Guarda hit a great ball. Jorge Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Marques in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Heitor Bessa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vasco Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Serrazes FC's Vasco Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Soares in the 17th minute of play. Jorge Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, André Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serrazes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Marques spun around in front of the goal 25 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Monsarves's goal. António Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vasco Fonseca having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Bessa in the 29th minute of play forced Serrazes FC's goalkeeper Vasco Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vasco Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Campos in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Lopes having to interfere. Jorge Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Marques in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, André Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serrazes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Serrazes FC's Manuel Pinho got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Heitor Bessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Serrazes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Pinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Gil Carvalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Serrazes FC's Vasco Fonseca didn't even have to move. SC Monsarves's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
