The SC Cavalinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Aleixo should have stopped the shot. André Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Aleixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes SC Cavalinho got a freekick which was hit by Luís Aguiar. SC Abrigueiro's Delfim Assunção couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Cavalinho. Daniel Nogueira succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After having played for 21 minutes, André Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Abrigueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Abrigueiro's Cândido Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, SC Abrigueiro's Jorge Guarda got control of the ball when Jorge Moutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, SC Cavalinho's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Moreira came free, but Vítor Aleixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, SC Abrigueiro's goalkeeper Jorge Guarda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Moutinho. The supporters of SC Abrigueiro booed when SC Cavalinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Abrigueiro's Jorge Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Nogueira in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
