When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Rui Almeida took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Artur Guarda to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Ramos to make the kick off. Sandro Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Guarda having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Rui Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bemlhevai's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Guarda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
