Artur Guarda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Leal in the 9th minute of play forced Ourondo's goalkeeper Artur Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Ourondo's Tiago Coimbra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tiago Coimbra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ourondo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tiago Coimbra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave SC Momprole a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardo Lima, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ourondo's Artur Guarda. 0-1. Manuel Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Brito having to interfere. Manuel Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but António Brito made a huge save. José Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. António Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Trindade in the 32nd minute. António Brito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Leão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 33 minute of play. Luís Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Artur Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, SC Momprole's João Costa made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Guarda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusébio Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half SC Momprole were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Trindade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Leão hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Eusébio Leal made a precise shot to the right of Artur Guarda. Ourondo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. SC Momprole's João Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eusébio Leal came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the SC Momprole fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Leal couldn't finish the play. João Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, one of Ourondo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Artur Guarda had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Ricardo Lima's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 77 minutes into the game, SC Momprole's Ricardo Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Guarda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. A collision led to Ourondo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gustavo Faro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ourondo's zone, João Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Guarda came out of the goal and João Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Mário Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Ourondo's goal looked a bit too open when João Costa came free, but Artur Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
