In the 38th minute, António Guarda made a precise shot to the right of Joel Pereira. Formoselha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Miguel Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th match minute, Formoselha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Francisco Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Formoselha had won after a very even match.
