Carlos Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Paulo Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Vítor Torres made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Sarnadinha FC's Gonçalo Guarda got a free kick in the 16th minute. Carlos Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Gaspar in the 26th minute of play forced Britiande's goalkeeper Vítor Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Vítor Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vítor Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Torres having to interfere. Britiande's Vítor Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Gaspar in the 33rd minute of play. If Jacinto Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Sarnadinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Soares came free, but Carlos Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sarnadinha FC's zone, Bento Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Esteves came out of the goal and Bento Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vítor Gaspar to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Vítor Gaspar made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Britiande's Vítor Torres tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Britiande's Jacinto Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacinto Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Britiande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. André Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Britiande getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. André Borges hit a great ball. Carlos Esteves was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Bento Soares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bento Soares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.
