The supporters of SC Lobeira booed when SC Catarruchos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, SC Lobeira's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Dantas came free, but Carlos Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delfim Matos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Delfim Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. SC Catarruchos's Delfim Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save SC Catarruchos from getting a goal against them. After 17 minutes, Pedro Gonçalves made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Catarruchos's Delfim Matos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Pires in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Matos saved SC Catarruchos from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasco Cardoso during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vasco Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. If Rui Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, SC Lobeira's Delfim Matos threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vítor Pires, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 44 played minutes SC Catarruchos got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Valente. 49 minutes into the match, Vítor Pires dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delfim Matos, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Dantas to make the kick off. Delfim Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasco Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Carlos Anjos made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Rui Amorim sent off a good shot on target. SC Lobeira's Carlos Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Dantas in the 65th minute of play. Pedro Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasco Cardoso was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 70 played minutes SC Lobeira got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Cardoso. In the 74th minute Pedro Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Amorim scored 2-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Anjos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rui Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Anjos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lobeira's zone, Pedro Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Anjos came out of the goal and Pedro Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Anjos having to interfere. SC Lobeira's Pedro Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Gonçalves in the 99th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
