Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Simão Castro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bairral's Miguel Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Dantas in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Catarruchos getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Afonso Araújo hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simão Castro in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delfim Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rui Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Delfim Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simão Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Delfim Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Simão Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Dantas made a kick off. SC Catarruchos's Delfim Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Castro in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Simão Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bairral's Simão Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Matos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Simão Castro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Bairral's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Dantas came free, but Daniel Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Gonçalves took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delfim Matos. Delfim Matos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With his leg Delfim Matos managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Bairral's Miguel Gonçalves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Castro in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Catarruchos's goalkeeper Delfim Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, SC Catarruchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Anjos to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, SC Catarruchos's Delfim Matos got control of the ball when Miguel Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simão Anjos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes of play, Bairral's Rui Pinho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delfim Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simão Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rui Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Catarruchos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Amorim couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, Carlos Valente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Catarruchos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bairral the free kick. In the 95th minute, Carlos Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 98 minutes SC Catarruchos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diamantino Figueiredo who took care of the corner kick. Bairral's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
