In the 5th minute, Manuel Moniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Vicente Aguiar could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Carlos Anjos however easily saved by the left post. After 10 played minutes Olmos FC got a freekick which was hit by João Santarém. If Vítor Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Vasco Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Lobeira's protests and gave Vasco Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Lobeira getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Vasco Cardoso hit a great ball. Mário Henriques's shot from long distance in the 16th minute was not bad at all, but SC Lobeira's Carlos Anjos knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 17th match minute, SC Lobeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Veiga to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, SC Lobeira's Carlos Anjos got control of the ball when Vicente Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Lobeira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Vicente Aguiar scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Anjos, making the score, 1-0. With a left leg Gabriel Esteves saved Olmos FC from getting behind. 25 minutes into the game, SC Lobeira's Vítor Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Tomás Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olmos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Gonçalves in the 34th minute of the match. Vítor Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Esteves having to interfere. Gabriel Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute Tomás Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Lobeira's Carlos Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Gaspar in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Carlos Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Domingues's late challenge caught a SC Lobeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Pedro Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lobeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Pires in the 82nd minute of play. SC Lobeira's Carlos Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Gaspar in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Olmos FC booed when SC Lobeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gabriel Esteves made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, SC Lobeira's Vítor Pires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
