SC Lobeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bairral the free kick. Simão Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Anjos having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Ribeiro got free with Carlos Anjos in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 21 minutes, Pedro Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Lobeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Pinho's late challenge caught a SC Lobeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes Bairral got a freekick which was hit by Rui Pinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Pires in the 36th minute of play forced Bairral's goalkeeper Daniel Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Viegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Pires went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 39 minutes, Pedro Resende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lobeira and the Bairral players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Resende hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Simão Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Carlos Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Viegas having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Lobeira's Vítor Pires slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Viegas. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Bairral's Rui Pinho got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 78 minutes into the match, Bairral's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Pires came free, but Daniel Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bairral's zone, Vítor Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Viegas came out of the goal and Vítor Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Ribeiro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Bruno Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Lobeira booed when Bairral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Lobeira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
