SC Arcas's José Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Neto in the 20th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes SC Arcas got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Viegas. SC Arcas's Emanuel Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Neto in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Nordestinho FC booed when SC Arcas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute of the match, Paulo Gaspar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Augusto Gueifão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Augusto Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Viegas in the 40th minute of the match. When Paulo Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the SC Arcas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Gaspar couldn't finish the play. After 43 minutes, Paulo Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nordestinho FC and the SC Arcas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Gaspar to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Álvaro Neto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuel Almeida. The goal made the score 0-1. José Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Augusto Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Faria hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Augusto Gueifão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. José Domingues struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Augusto Gueifão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Arcas. 66 minutes into the match, Nordestinho FC's Nuno Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Nuno Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nordestinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Nordestinho FC's zone, Basílio Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Gueifão came out of the goal and Basílio Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Emanuel Almeida made a huge save. Nuno Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Almeida having to interfere. The supporters of SC Arcas booed when Nordestinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Miguel Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Arcas's protests and gave Miguel Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Miguel Viegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Filipe Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Almeida was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Nuno Lopes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nuno Lopes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The SC Arcas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nordestinho FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nordestinho FC.
