A wasted opportunity for Esposado FC. David Pinto was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Rui Resende capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rui Resende really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Esposado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Campos to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Barros, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Nuno Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Miranda in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Faria saved Esposado FC from getting behind. Esposado FC's Tomás Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Soares in the 25th minute of play. Tomás Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Soares in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Miranda in the 33rd minute of play forced Esposado FC's goalkeeper Tomás Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When André Campos fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esposado FC's protests and gave André Campos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, André Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tomás Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Esposado FC's zone, Nuno Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Faria came out of the goal and Nuno Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Covais's David Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Resende in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Magalhães in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Pinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Nuno Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Faria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Afonso Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Esposado FC's Joel Magalhães in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Covais's goalie prevented a goal.
