Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Nordestinho FC's Nuno Lopes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Nuno Lopes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Covais's David Pinto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. David Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Covais's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Neto came free, but David Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Faria during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo Faria hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Paulo Barros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Gueifão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nordestinho FC's Augusto Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Nordestinho FC from getting a goal against them. Augusto Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Soares in the 29th minute of play. If Marco Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Paulo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Nuno Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Gueifão having to make a save. After 45 played minutes, Covais's Paulo Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augusto Gueifão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Covais reached it. Marco Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Gueifão having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Soares to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nordestinho FC's zone, Nuno Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Gueifão came out of the goal and Nuno Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Eduardo Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nordestinho FC's Augusto Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Soares in the 61st minute of play. Augusto Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Miranda in the 62nd minute of the match. If Nuno Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nordestinho FC's goalkeeper Augusto Gueifão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Afonso Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Álvaro Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Augusto Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match Amadeu Esteves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Gueifão skillfully saved the ball. Nuno Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Augusto Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nordestinho FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Covais's much stronger midfield.
