Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rui Resende got the match started through his kick off. José Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th match minute, Esposado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Domingues in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Faria saved Esposado FC from getting behind. Paulo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tomás Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Faria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Domingues's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Cabral during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Esposado FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Manuel Cabral hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Esposado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Gaspar came free, but Tomás Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes, Gabriel Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Arcas and the Esposado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, one of SC Arcas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Arcas. José Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tomás Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rui Resende's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Almeida was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Ricardo Figueiredo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Joel Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Emanuel Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Magalhães's late challenge caught a SC Arcas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. Tomás Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Gaspar in the 59th minute of the match. Emanuel Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Domingues got free with Tomás Faria in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Amaral during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Esposado FC got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Amaral. In the 70th minute, Paulo Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, André Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Gaspar in the 79th minute of play. If Rui Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute Joel Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Joel Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esposado FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Joel Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Domingues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Faria having to make a save. Manuel Cabral was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Esposado FC's Manuel Cabral got a free kick in the 99th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Esposado FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Arcas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
