Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Diamantino Viegas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Palhas FC's Sebastião Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Siao fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Rafael Nascimento had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Fábio Almeida's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 10th minute, Fábio Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After having played for 16 minutes, Joaquim Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, António Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 29 minutes of play Siao's António Barros was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Siao getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. António Barros hit a great ball. Sebastião Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Nascimento having to interfere. Armindo Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rafael Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastião Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Siao's goalkeeper Rafael Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armindo Pinto. When Sebastião Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Palhas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Dantas couldn't finish the play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Palhas FC's Mariano Borba got control of the ball when Joaquim Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Sebastião Dantas sped through Siao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Nascimento. In the 90th match minute, Palhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Almeida to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Paulo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Siao's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Palhas FC's Mariano Borba got control of the ball when Joaquim Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Palhas FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
