Eusébio Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Negreda's Eusébio Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Brás in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Filipe Valente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Negreda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cedesma the free kick. In the 27th minute, Filipe Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Bernardo Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusébio Brito skillfully saved the ball. If Catarino Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Brás in the 41st minute of play forced SC Negreda's goalkeeper Eusébio Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Brás stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Brás having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, SC Cedesma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Valente to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Cristóvão Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Negreda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Pinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Valente hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Bernardo Fonseca was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Brás in the 67th minute of play forced SC Negreda's goalkeeper Eusébio Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filipe Valente took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artur Brás. SC Cedesma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 77th minute, Afonso Brás reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eusébio Brito. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 82nd minute, Manuel Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Artur Brás. SC Cedesma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. SC Negreda's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
