The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Alfaquiques FC booed when Teixelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Catarino Branco struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Henrique Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alfaquiques FC. When Alfaquiques FC's Catarino Branco in 10 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Henrique Teixeira guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Henrique Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Vítor Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Amadeu Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teixelo. After 30 played minutes Alfaquiques FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Setúbal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingos Silva during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Alfaquiques FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Domingos Silva hit a great ball. Teixelo's Raul Assis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alfaquiques FC. Alfaquiques FC's Amadeu Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Andrade in the 80th minute of play. Amadeu Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Vítor Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Baptista having to interfere. Amadeu Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Andrade in the 95th minute of the match. Alfaquiques FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
