Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vasco Correia started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Correia in the 6th minute of play forced Mealhas FC's goalkeeper Rui Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Óscar Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mealhas FC and the Barrocalvo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Mealhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Branco to maneuver through the defense. When Emanuel Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mealhas FC's protests and gave Emanuel Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. Barrocalvo's Vasco Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Mealhas FC's João Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Assis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Oliveira in the 26th minute of play forced Barrocalvo's goalkeeper Jaime Assis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Assis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Oliveira in the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Vicente Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrocalvo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vasco Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barrocalvo's Vicente Carneiro came free and shot a quick shot against goal 42 minutes in the game, fortunately Rui Gonçalves had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Vicente Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rui Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrocalvo. 47 minutes into the game, Henrique Resende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mealhas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrocalvo the free kick. In the 48th minute, Henrique Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
After 52 played minutes Barrocalvo got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Castro. Vicente Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Vasco Correia put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rui Gonçalves. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cândido Oliveira during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barrocalvo's Cândido Oliveira got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Vicente Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrocalvo's protests and gave Vicente Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barrocalvo's zone, João Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Assis came out of the goal and João Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sérgio Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barrocalvo booed when Mealhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vasco Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barrocalvo booed when Mealhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Barrocalvo fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Barrocalvo's Vasco Correia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barrocalvo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mealhas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
