Lourenço Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Aleixo having to make a save. Ricardo Aleixo had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Augusto Trindade from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Augusto Trindade took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ricardo Aleixo to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 19 in the game by Lourenço Faria from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Aleixo managed to make a qualified save. Almalaguez's players were relieved. Abel Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Viegas having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Albertino Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Andrade was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Abel Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nuno Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Augusto Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Baioes FC's Albertino Gonçalves got a free kick in the 41st minute. Henrique Andrade, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Trindade made a kick off. If Augusto Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nuno Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lourenço Faria scored 3-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Aleixo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Almalaguez defense, Augusto Trindade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Aleixo. The Almalaguez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Aleixo should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Nuno Viegas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 70th minute, Abel Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Trindade in the 82nd minute of play forced Almalaguez's goalkeeper Ricardo Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Aleixo having to interfere. Augusto Trindade struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ricardo Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baioes FC. Almalaguez's Ricardo Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Faria in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Baioes FC's goalkeeper Nuno Viegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Coelho. Baioes FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
