Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Varges's Miguel Anjos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Vargelas FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. António Barbosa hit a great ball. If Miguel Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Andrade in the 11th minute of play forced Varges's goalkeeper Simão Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Nuno Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vargelas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mário Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Veiga having to make a save. In the 23rd match minute, Varges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Viegas scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Borba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Simão Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Vargelas FC's Hélder Viegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simão Borba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Andrade in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simão Borba saved Varges from getting behind. Nuno Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varges fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Varges's Simão Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Viegas in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Hélder Viegas made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Vargelas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Torres to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Miguel Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Anjos in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Veiga saved Vargelas FC from getting behind. If Mário Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Borba made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Nuno Andrade sent off a good shot on target. When Miguel Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Varges fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Abreu couldn't finish the play. After 81 minutes, António Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varges and the Vargelas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. António Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Varges's Simão Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Viegas in the 86th minute of play. When António Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Vargelas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Nuno Andrade came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Simão Borba could save by the left post. When the match was over Vargelas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Varges throughout the match.
