Gabriel Pinheiro got in the 4th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Domingos Matias handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. SC Azinheiro's António Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Teixeira in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Azinheiro's Fernando Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Teixeira in the 9th minute of play. Domingos Matias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Pinheiro in the 12th minute. Fernando Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Teixeira in the 17th minute of play. If Paulo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Azinheiro booed when SC Montouto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Azinheiro's Diogo Pinto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Montouto. Domingos Matias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Paulo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fernando Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Paulo Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Azinheiro's Fernando Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of SC Montouto booed when SC Azinheiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Ramos made a kick off. Amadeu Sá hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Diogo Pinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domingos Matias. SC Montouto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paulo Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Miranda having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Paulo Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Azinheiro and the SC Montouto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Cunha hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Emanuel Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Matias having to interfere. A collision led to SC Azinheiro getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Diogo Pinto hit a great ball. António Ramos struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Domingos Matias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Azinheiro. Emanuel Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Miranda having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Gabriel Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Azinheiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 102nd minute, Emanuel Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Montouto's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
