Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Monserrate's David Teixeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Monserrate's Armando Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Fontes in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Monserrate's Vítor Pereira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Luís Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Teixeira in the 8th minute of the match. Américo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Teixeira in the 15th minute of play forced Albarraque FC's goalkeeper Américo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albarraque FC's Américo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Teixeira in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute David Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, David Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Monserrate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luís Araújo's late challenge caught a SC Monserrate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Albarraque FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Araújo to maneuver through the defense. David Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes SC Monserrate got a freekick which was hit by David Teixeira. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Teixeira in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Américo Lima saved Albarraque FC from getting behind. Armando Faro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Filipe Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Armando Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Monserrate's David Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Araújo was the one to do the kick off. If David Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viriato Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Albarraque FC's Américo Lima got control of the ball when Viriato Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If David Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Monserrate's Viriato Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Américo Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Lima having to interfere. A collision led to Albarraque FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jorge Gomes hit a great ball. Américo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Teixeira in the 81st minute of play. Albarraque FC were furious when Humberto Ferreira was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Albarraque FC! Albarraque FC:s Américo Lima showed great skill when he stopped Rui Correia:s penalty. The excitement rose when SC Monserrate's Rui Correia after 85 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Albarraque FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-2. Abel Gonçalves's late challenge caught a SC Monserrate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Abel Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, SC Monserrate's Américo Lima threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Teixeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
