The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Leal's late challenge caught a Ermezinde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Rui Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Figueiredo having to interfere. The wind increased when Jacinto Henriques made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Rui Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ermezinde's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Resende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th match minute, Ermezinde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Torres to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Campos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mariano Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Bento Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Cruz in the 64th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ermezinde's Jacinto Henriques slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucas Figueiredo. That made the score 0-1 after 76 minutes of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Jacinto Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermezinde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Henriques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Henriques might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Henriques ran back to his position shaking his head. The Colares FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ermezinde were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
