Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Correia in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Abel Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. Eduardo Pinho hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. José Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Aleixo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Sá in the 65th minute of play forced Capelas FC's goalkeeper José Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Artur Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Ferro having to interfere. Mariano Dantas had several of the Lancada's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Artur Ferro as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Lancada booed when Capelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 88thth minute of the game Paulo Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capelas FC's José Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Miguel Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
