The referee ignored Alijao's protests and gave Pedro Setúbal a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Alijao got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Setúbal. Pedro Setúbal in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Resende, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Filipe Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gaspar Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Resende was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Torres showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. Filipe Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Gaspar having to interfere. Afonso Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gaspar Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Percinheira's zone, Paulo Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Resende came out of the goal and Paulo Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Pereira during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filipe Pereira hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Percinheira's Jorge Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Setúbal in the 64th minute of play. Pedro Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jorge Resende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alijao.
