Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Artur Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Espalhafatos's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SC Espalhafatos booed when Caseirinhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes, Nuno Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Espalhafatos and the Caseirinhos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 14 minutes into the match, Caseirinhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Gonçalves came free, but Gaspar Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Albertino Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caseirinhos FC's Gaspar Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Machado in the 21st minute of play. Amílcar Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Melo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Gonçalves in the 29th minute of play forced Caseirinhos FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Caseirinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Oliveira. António Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 33 played minutes SC Espalhafatos got a freekick which was hit by João Pinheiro. After a rather tough play, Caseirinhos FC's Adelino Vaz got a free kick in the 36th minute. Gaspar Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Machado in the 37th minute of play. If Artur Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes, Armando Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caseirinhos FC and the SC Espalhafatos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Caseirinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Nuno Nunes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caseirinhos FC's Gaspar Melo did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Leiria to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, SC Espalhafatos's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Leiria came free, but Albertino Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertino Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Gonçalves in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Gonçalves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. SC Espalhafatos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Artur Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
