Albertino Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Marques in the 3rd minute of the match. Sérgio Lisboa came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Espalhafatos's Artur Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Artur Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th match minute, SC Espalhafatos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. SC Rebordoes's Sérgio Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Gonçalves in the 13th minute of play. Sérgio Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílcar Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Gonçalves in the 20th minute of play forced SC Rebordoes's goalkeeper Sérgio Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Nuno Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Rebordoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Espalhafatos the free kick. After 24 played minutes SC Rebordoes got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Machado. Hélder Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Guarda having to interfere. The referee showed João Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hélder Andrade succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 44th playminute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Marques made a kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of SC Rebordoes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Espalhafatos:s goal. When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, SC Espalhafatos's Jorge Barbosa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sérgio Lisboa. Albertino Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 65 played minutes SC Espalhafatos got a freekick which was hit by Abel Tavares. Alberto Antunes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albertino Guarda. SC Espalhafatos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sérgio Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Gonçalves in the 68th minute of the match. Artur Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Sérgio Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Espalhafatos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílcar Machado got free with Sérgio Lisboa in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuno Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th match minute, SC Rebordoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Eusébio Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílcar Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The SC Espalhafatos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
