Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Delgado in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute João Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Barbosa in the 44th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes SC Bezerreira got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Magalhães. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Coimbra made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Delgado in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Coimbra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Guarda having to make a save. Marco Coimbra scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Guarda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, João Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 72 played minutes SC Bezerreira got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Trindade. After 75 played minutes SC Bezerreira got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Monteiro. If Alberto Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Delgado in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Barroso's goalkeeper Ricardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SC Bezerreira's Catarino Delgado in the 84th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ricardo Lima was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Barroso through an amazing save. SC Bezerreira's Francisco Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Coimbra in the 87th minute of play.
