After 13 played minutes, Burgo's Rui Nunes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sandro Marques came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Burgo reached it. 15 minutes into the match, Burgo's goalkeeper Bruno Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Henriques. Bruno Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Assis's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Luís Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd match minute, Burgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Lima to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Henriques took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Amaral. Bruno Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 39 minutes into the match, Comoros's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Faro came free, but Sandro Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Pedro Assis made the kick off in the second half. Sandro Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 58th match minute, Comoros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. Instead of passing the ball, Fábio Nunes made a really hard long shot towards goal. Comoros's Sandro Marques realized he got lucky when he saw the ball passing the outside of the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Comoros's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Faro came free, but Sandro Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Azevedo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Burgo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rui Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rui Cardoso hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Burgo's Fábio Nunes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 69th match minute, Comoros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Sá to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Comoros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marco Faro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 74th minute of the match Rui Nunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Marques skillfully saved the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Sandro Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Hélder Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco Anjos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Pedro Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burgo's Bruno Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Assis in the 91st minute of play. Comoros's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
